Found this moose calf while hunting this year and wonder how common this sort of thing is ...:confused:
He made a full recovery and ran off to mom by the way...:grin:

Ya it was near Merritt I believe. Bunch of hunters found some calves stuck in a mud pit, and yanked em out with their quads.

It wasn't being used for anything but a moose trap! It is just one of many spring holes on my ranch. We lose cows in them occasionally also.
