Every rifle I have ever sold.
Ones that really stand out:

Sako A2 action, MCM 30" 1 in 12 twist palma barrel on a Paul Reuban stock. Sold it to finance another rifle build.

Cooey .22- The first rifle I ever bought with my own money. Sold it to finance nothing useful.

I have never sold a rifle, but I am about to hand down my first rifle to my son. Nothing special by most standards, but it should be as special to my son as it was to me. It's a Marlin 30-30 that I got when I was fourteen

I usually don't part with them...actually aside from a pellet gun, I have never sold a gun to anyone

Rifles, shotguns and handguns!!! In almost all cases, I've repurchased the same as what I have sold. Just a few that come to mind, 6" Colt Python, 10ga AYA, model 70 .300wm, model 70 feather weight 7x57, 4" model 29 and a Brno combo 7x57/12ga.

I once said Id never sell a rifle. That was a few years ago and almost two dozen rifles have come and gone. Biggest standout is a custom 25-284 on a 700 action that would put 110 gr Accubonds into .3's if I did my part. But it did nothing my custom 260 remington didnt, so it went to someone who could use it more than I could.

I currently have only three centerfires. :D but I use them more and get more joy out of them than I got out of a dozen rifles, some of which might only see the range a couple times a year.

Never sold a gun yet... thinking about selling my Weatherby 300 Mark V but only to finance a Weatherby 300 Ultralight. Anyone wanna trade?

I still have a Wingmaster in 16 G that I got for my 15th birthday, have my dear old dad's pride and joy 1950 Model 70 Featherlite. No one to hand them down to as my daughter doesn't want them... Franko Manini wants me to adopt him for this purpose! He would need to sign a contract to come change my diapers and bring me venison when the time comes though!

Rem 700 (and I'm not a Remington guy) custom 26" stainless Hart bbl in .280 Rem.

Started out as a 700 Sportsman in 30/06, I machined out the lettering on the action and installed a brass plate that I had engraved with "Custom 700" then I stocked it with a Beautiful piece of fiddleback walnut, rosewood tip and gripcap and installed a Pachmyr decellerator.

It would shoot about 5/8" groups all day long but my BSA 7mag will put 5 in a .35 cal hole and I was afraid to damage it because it was so pretty.. Would love to have it back :-(

When I was 18 I bought an old husquavarna 6.5x55 swed and got a sportorized stock put on it and toped with a 4 point bushenell banner scope with the iluminated dot. About 10 years later I bought a remington pump in 270 win and figured I could only hunt with one rifle at the time so I had no use for the second rifle so I ended up selling the 6.5x55 for $125. I've regreted this ever since. I might get a new one eventually.

Never, ever regretted a firearm sale.

The guns that I have sold didn't serve much of a purpose for me anymore, so off they went. I used to have about 50-60 guns, I've been paring it down steadily to guns that I use alot. Most of the guns that I stil have, but dont use, are sentimental..and not worth that much anyway...

I dont' sell lightly, and I never had needed to sell a gun because I had to make a car payment or something, so when it's time to go, they go.

I think more peopel should pick a few favorites, unload the rest, buy ammo and good optics, and practice, rahter thna have a bunch of 303/30-30/30-06/270/308/300Wm rifles, that all do similar things, and are topped with crappy scopes etc...

I've heard many times" No way I can afford a custom rifle with good optics, sure woudl be nice" Meanwhile, they havea dozen rifles with tasco and bushnell scopes that "they woudl never part wiht" but none are perfect...annd they will keep buying them, always chasing that perfect gun...

Thats very good advice and what I'm in the process of doing.Trying to narrow it down to 4 good ones

No but thinking about selling but gut says no, I have 1 featherlight gun thats 4 years old, fired 1/2 box of shells, top of the line scope, and don't even touch it, you figure to sell it but waiting for the kids to grow older to hopefully get into it, but in turn, I can just buy one or two later, if anyone has a 338 ULTRA mag or 30-378 weatherby for sale or trade, let me know, I have some pretty nice trades as well.

I'm not tooooo old (38)

But, I've learned a bit of stuff.....

I think a 'battery" shoudl reflect perfect exaples of what the person likes to do.

For example if the guy hunts coyotes, big game and grizzlies, it shoudl be somehting like:

223

30-06

338

And Ľou can mix and match this anyway you want..the 223 can be a 22-250, the 30-06 aq 7-08 ot a 300WM, and the 338 a 35Whelen or a 416Rm..whatevcer...

Point is, owning half a dozen "general purpose" rifles like 270/30-06/303/308 etc is pointelss...

Might as well own ONE PERFECT rifle, wiht PERFECT optics than a bunch of middle of the road guns, with cheap optis...

No regrets in our house as Mr. Farside won't sell a gun so nuttin to regret.

I personally would like him to give 1 rifle and 1 shotgun to our nephew once he completes his POL. The young man needs them as he has 3 growing boys to feed.

Is that the one that ejects/cocks out the bottom? My buddy just picked up a really nice used one. He has a little suitcase for it broken down. We have put around 2000 rounds through it since he got it. It is an excellent gun, and has yet to jam up, even using bulk ammo. This one can be loaded from the end of the stock, or from a hole in the side of the butt.

I know someone who got drunk one night:eek: ..............(7mm but no nicknames mentioned) now my wife has a 300 savage that will shoot about a 1/2 dia. group at 100 yards. I put 7 shots through it at 100yards and could hardly tell witch shot was witch all in the same hole. I tease 7mm everyday about how great of a gun it is. Too Bad he GAVE it to my wife.

I was given a nice Savage 99F take down model 250-3000 when I was young by my old neibour in Clinton.Years later when I was now at the coast , not hunting much (to busy chasing girls),talk of gun registry coming soon ,I decided to see what I could get for it. I took it into Outdoors Unlimited in Maple Ridge and offered it along with an old 16ga shotgun. I think I got $215.00 store credit for both:frown: .Now,not even thinking of the actual value which would probally be closer to $800.00, I miss it for sentimental reasons. My best memory of her was shooting a LEH cow moose at Horsefly with open sights.
