Or I just suck.After a 5 year sabbatical I got back on the horse and headed to my old region 3 spots. Spots that always held bucks this time of the year.Spots void of traffic and hunters..What happened?Very little sign,lots of traffic and hunters. Has the number of hunters increased that much in five years? Where have all my region 3 deer gone?

They are definitely there, just gotta work a little harder to find your bucks. If you were hunting mid October, that's probably the toughest time of year to boot.

i hunt ducks in oct everyone else is after 2 points so little competition remembrance day i start for deer.

there's an area in region 5 that I hunted lots. Use to have it almost exclusively... but now it's overrun with hunters. It produced quality bucks. Then for a few years we couldn't find them. But then we decided to take a peek even with a whack of hunters. we just hunted the area differently and we've found them again. they're still there... just changed habbits.

This has been happening forever, great spots get discovered, hunted hard, animals are educated or exterminated. This is nothing new

Region 3 were I go lots more guys this year it seems. The number will die off big time when any buck ends on the 31st. Then the real hunting starts.
