Just wondering if anyone has hunted around the old toll booth above the hwy. Just curious if the roads are ok and if there is any kind of deer population around there. PM me if you like or not i am willing to trade info with ppl I know Castlegar area and revelstoke area well.:mrgreen: Thanks alot

I used to hang around there plenty. Roads were better on the Merritt side, but I got more deer and bear in 2-17. Hiking in past vehicle access was awesome; I was always alone. The north side seemed to have more game than the south.

I work in the oilfields all over region 7B for a trucking outfit. Ask me and if I don't know current conditions I can sure ask around. Which roads are busy, graded, deactivated, new clearcuts, old ones, where there'll be a drilling rig next month.
