Alpine Muley Success!

Well I figured it was about time I get around to posting the buck I was able to harvest last Thanksgiving monday for you all to enjoy. Was lucky enough to have my friend Bob take me out into the hills in an area I've never hunted. To make a long story short, we were hiking a mountain ridge when I spotted for a brief second, a big buck walking into some trash about 900 yards away. Bob and I headed down in that direction in search of the buck but couldn't find him. We decided to have one guy sit up on the ridge (me), while Bob swung around below incase either of us was able to eventually spot the the deer. After about 20 mintues of sitting, the buck popped out of that same trash I was watching and I was able to connect on a 190 yard shot.

After passing up over 150 bucks last year, and not pulling the trigger on big muley, it felt good to drop the hammer on this guy! Cheers!

Awesome buck bud, hunting alpine is just plain worth it. Nice to see some guys aren't afraid to post pics of decent animals " I wish I was one of em". I was almost ready to give up on this site because of the lack of pics.

we quartered him and left the bone in...back straps, tenderlions, neck meat... we each had about 75lb packs coming out
