Hello all,

Gonna be in Kelowna for a couple of days doing some Christmas shopping. Wondering if the locals could let me know the names of the hunting, sporting goods stores in Kelowna. Looking for calls, scopes and rifles.

Thanks.

there is A&C sports, Bear Creek Sports, Canadian Tire, and Walmart... Personally if you are looking for guns and scopes i would go up to vernon and check out Del Selin I like dealing with them.

I agree with Beeker, its worth the drive to go see Del in Vernon. He has more stuff in his store that you never knew existed, till you get in there.

Very knowledgeable, good customer service and has just about anything you would ever want/need. He also has a good selection of new/used. About a block or so away from the court house. Not sure of the street address..

I'll third the motion for Del Selin. Much better (svc and selection) than anything we have in Kelowna.

He has more in there then he even knows about sometimes!! LOL. It seems in the last few years Del has taken on more inventory.....and his ability to get things in when he says is improving:lol:

Yep! Bypass Kelowna and head to Vernon but don't forget to check out Vernon's Outdoor Store. Good archery shop and the owner Tim is always very helpful.

2709A-43rd Ave. I think it's the next right after Timmies when you're heading North on Hwy 97.

That sleezy pawn shop in Rutland had a pretty hot wife. I just stood looking at her and forgot why I was there. That was a few years ago. He was a bit of a smartass asking ridiculous prices. She's worth checking out.

My wife just told me I was a bad boy.

I think it is called OK Valley Pawnbrokers? It is right across from the Post Office in Rutland, about a block north of 33/Rutland Rd. I have bought some tools off them in the past. I think the previous posters should have gone to an optometrist instead though.

One thing is for sure, If he has it in his store(and he can find it in all the clutter), he will try to convince you that its the best and you need it. Whether it is what you want or not. I've seen him work his magic on many a unsuspecting customer.

Did I mention I can't wait for Wholesale Sports to come to Kamloops.

Isn't the pawnbroker in Rutland on Rutland road called Darky's or something like that? That big guy with the sports cars and the poofy blond hair owns it doesn't he? lol I went to Rutland senoir secondary just down the street.
