Hope this isnt a dumb question but i was recently hunting Region 7-7 and came across several bull moose heads leftover from someones hunt. All heads had the noses skinned and cut off. Is there a particular reason for this? :???:

Dont knock it till you try it. Definetly different texture and you got to boil it forever but it has its place along side the tongue, prairie oysters and kidneys.

Yep, when I went up to 7-11 to hunt moose with a friend a few years back and helped him tag a nice bull, when we were back in camp a native fellow came over and asked us if we were done with the head. He said he wanted the nose and the tongue. After he was done carving it up, a good portion of the moose's face was missing.
