OGP's Ain't Miss Behavin' "Baylee" came from Winipeg as a little red bundle of fur. She was the result of some top quality FTC breeding. Baylee never flushed a phesant or retrieved a duck she was "only" a boat dog, hiking companion and best friend of my sister. Baylee did however leave her mark forever on the gundog world. Her one and only litter sired by FC, AFC, CFC, CAFC TNTS Stanley Steamer MH, produced 7 pups 5 of which have gone on to earn a place in the gundog world, 2 in California, 1 in Oregon and 2 in B.C. 1 being my own Foxton's Cuervo Gold "Keela". Through Keela's mating with GoldNGuns Double Darn Dare Ya her blood still flows in the veins of some great gundogs Including Foxton's GNG Gawd Darn Risque, Foxton's White Lightning and Foxton's Baja Rosa who carries her call name in tribute(Bailey) to name a few. Baylee passed to young (10 yrs) quietly after a short battle with cancer at home on her bed and in the loving arms of her owners and best friends.

GONE BUT remembered in every retrieve your decendents make.

They are with us for such a short time, its even sadder when its cut shorter. My sympathies to all concerned. She leaves a fine legacy from the sounds of it and many cherished memories.

The B.C. Golden Retriever Club is holding a Singles Series event tomorrow. All proceeds will be going to the Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund to End Canine Cancer. http://www.smilingblueskies.com/

I surely hope we can beat canine cancer one day...it's taking our dogs at far to young of an age.

I'll be thinking of your Baylee tomorrow, Foxton.

Gundog or not - she was a beauty Foxton. Glad you have her progeny to remember her by. We lose them, but we never forget them do we?

RIP Baylee.

Foxton, I feel your pain. It's never easy to lose a companion that's been with you for a decade or more. It's hard at any age but you definitely grow more attached the longer you have them.

Looks like she was a great dog and sure to be missed, sorry for your loss.
