Do you like picture *A*.
Or do you prefer picture *B*, better.

The differences are subtle but nonetheless, different in their perspectives.
Think 24x36, hanging in the den.

Thanks for your 2 minutes.

PS; This poll is private - Your choice can't be seen, even by a Mod like me.

SHIT!

The crop in pic *A* is tight on the left side, clipping the book.
I musta did that when I resized for the HBC gallery - IGNORE IT!

Picture "A"
shows more of the skull but still not tooo Broadside....
the book and skull in "B" is too "Angular"

I like "A" it looks natural, yet still gives you a good view of the skull...

I like B. More tooth and i can see the ram. Lots more to fire the imagination and better lighting.

Photo "A"...lighting looks flatter? on "B" on the the skull. More shading on "A" gives it a more interesting look.

And I am ignoring the tight crop

A is better, the bowl you added in the second pic makes it look cluttered.

A for sure, less of a focus on the book cover but enough to invoke some thoughts of the ram and better skull size perspective.

Skull looks bigger due to perspective in "A"

Interesting remarks.

I've been back-n-forth on these for 2 days now. I'm leaning to *B*, but it's a coin toss.
If the skull needs to look big, then *A* is the clear choice.

In *B*, I see more details though.

I like the eye socket better as well as showing more of the nasal cavity. The angle adds dimension.

The"cheek bone" also stands out better because it is know separated, some, from just relying on bone as all of its background.
The shadows also deepened within its structure, yield a little more separation - Same said for the eye socket.

The angle of the book also leads the viewer into the scene better/gentler, and the angle of the scull, out... Just feels/flows better IMO.
All in all, I think *B*'s got it in the depth and detail race, by about a hair and a half.

If you only want to display the skull then A does so much bettter however for over all artistic quality of the entire photo I much prefer B

B... It's nicer to look at... Colours are brighter and the image looks shareper...
And I agree with ZENYO. Better angle on the front cover of the record book.

This damned thing has been bugging me....

I killed the book.
It didn't serve the purpose I hoped for/wanted - Just a distraction.
