Made it out this AM to try my luck turkey hunting.
Made it to my location at the crack of legal light and listened for the birds to start calling or fly down so I could pin point them.
After about 1 1/2 hrs waitng and no bird action I started my search.
I worked my way along an old logging trail to an area that I have taken numerous spring birds from in hopes that they might be in that area.
As I approached the spot, NO noise or running to bust them up needed.
Roughly 30 birds scattered everywhere as soon as I got within 35 yrds or so them before I even noticed them.
I parked my butt and gave it about 10 mins and let out some kee kees and in they came and my 2012 fall turkey was down!
After letting the 12 ga. ROAR and I dropped my bird, 2 gobblers fired up maybe 100 yrds from me.... http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif
