So I was watching Bramble's youtube vid on his beautiful house reno......and on the side of my screen this vid caught my eye.

For those yote hunters out there I can see why you say you are helping the deer population

Wow I was always under the impression that it would take a larger pack (4+) to take down a deer. Guess I was wrong!

The big yotes push 50 lbs in some areas. They must take more than a few deer.

Doug and his wife watched a lone coyote take down a two point muledeer at the ranch last year. A bobcat can also take a deer down by its self.

Coyotes are such brutal killers, at least a cougar jumps on a deers back and usually breaks its neck or suffocates it, coyotes will ham string it and then start eating its butt off while its still alive... I know, thats their instinct but painful to watch...

Got one last weekend chicken hunting. I shoot with a gun not a camera.

No matter what I'm hunting, when a yote jumps out, my hunt stops for those things! They always breath better with an extra hole, right?

What do you guys do with them once they're airated? Just leave them in the bush is there a use for the hide?

Lottsa uses for a pelt.
Very luxurious fur when in its prime.

A young friend of mine watched as one waited for a cow to give birth. He was too far away to shoot it but fired on in it's general direction. Stopped it that time??
The only yotes I've ever shot weren't worth keeping, the blowed up LOL

Can you recommend a taxidermist around Kelowna? I perforated one today.

180 yards, running left to right. Marlin 45-70 with a 480gr flat nose cast at 1700. I broke the poor little yotes heart. Literally.

Barry Killbeck's pretty good, but I think he's further south. Only been there once to see the Munson buck.
I do my own, look up home tanning methods. Lots of stuff online, incl vids.

I'm from Oliver. I know Barry. Best of my knowledge he still owes me one of his hats from when they pushed two bear mounts together for the logo. Caption said something like " we'll mount anything".

anyone remember?

Last year I bought myself a new Weatherby Mark V Ultralight in 300 Wby Mag

It's a dam adequate Coyote rig, ventilated a few last year.......180gr TSX worked awesome !
