Old time goat

My grandpa and uncle went hunting way way back for deer, and instead saw this white thing sitting under a tree way down on the mountain. He always said his buddy shot it, and I dont think the meat was that good. Said it stuck out like a sore thumb on the hillside of green.

Early 60s and above Davis lake.

Very cool. We are all p*ssies compared to men back then...they probably took turns packing that beast out by carrying it on their shoulders, and warmed up by taking swigs of black-tar moonshine. Would be great if the horns were around, and that pic is very wall worthy.

Terry used to work for Canfor driving logging truck. Back in the early eighties when the gate was up. He said in the winter time he had seen a few back there. A few of dads buddies used to camp at Davis lake and have spotted them on the east mountain. Dad and bill took a hunting trip up the mountain east of Davis and found lots of goat crap. That was also the early eighties. Before the crowds of people came up there. I walked up to Mckay lake up top and it looks like good goat country. Tried fishing the lake. No fish jumping or biteing.
