Hi,

Does anyone have much experience with late season sheep hunting?

I wont be getting out anymore this year but am just curious as to what people have seen and experienced in the later part of the season.

I am hoping to learn some general knowledge of what behavior sheep will do and where they might be now compared to where they were in August.

Also, what has worked well when dealing with the challenges that would be encountered with a late season mountain hunt.

Thanks

I would assume they are going to be migrating to their rutting/winter ranges Late season. Which generally would concentrate the sheep in proximity to each other(rams/ewes) for the rut. I would concentrate on the south facing areas with minimal snow, generally lower elevation than in August. Weather conditions, can be brutal that time of year, and can make hunting/accessing difficult! IMO
