Having a bunch of vacation days left...I accepted a mid week invite from Field Marshall to take a run down his way for a goose hunt. He, I and his buddy Geoff headed out to see if we could put together a hunt like was had there on the opener.
While that was a tough order to try and fill, we had a great day and managed to bag 9 big Canadas and 1 little Cackler.
The weather which consisted of a low fog most of the day made it tough to get the birds in where they could see the decoys and commit, but we did manage to swing a couple of groups.
Shotgun John dropped in as we were packing up and we had a chance to all exchange some stories.
