Got back on Sunday from our annual moose hunt and though I would post a up a few picts.
It was a weird week last week for hunting. We had hot weather, cold weather, snow, wind, rain, sleet and best of all....a full moon. Plus a whole lot of hunters out on quads who drove and drove and drove roads like there was no tomorrow. One guy we nick named "Little Penis" due to him trying to extend his small manhood by hunting with a suped up side by side racing quad with open pipes and a 1000 watt stereo. We could hear him most days as he powered through crossditches while his tunes blasted across the valley.....this would go on into the early morning hours as he raced up and down main roads......I guess he liked the noise......
Anyways, we had a slower year than last, the moose were not moving as much and if they did, it was under the full moon for the most part. We called in some bulls, some did not add up to the proper measurements, some came in but would not allow the shot and one did everything we asked it to do......he came to my buddies calling and the first shot was at 8 yards, then he lunged at me and my second shot was at 6 yards, which turned him and he died 20 yards away. It was a 30 min pack to the road and it pays to have a couple young guys on the crew. They packed all 4 quarters and got them hung back at camp while I packed out the antlers and two bags of trim. It was another great team effort.

We saw a few deer, lots of squirrles, and this guy, who did not have a care in the world that we were there.
