tested out the new duck punt

LOL, Jake the useless duck toller couldn't find the duck in the grass in the water across the slough, so I had to climb into the plastic tote sled I bought for hauling my gear. I am glad I decided to go with the larger one i had about 2-3" above the waterline. Managed to get 2 mallards, a pintail and a widgeon. I also got my first canada after three season of hunting them, so excited for goose dinner tonight.

No freeboard and no lifejacket don't make for a safe voyage. Wader belt under that jacket?

Nope no waders, its isnt that deep maybe 4' at the deepest. I felt safe and I got my bird, I hate loosing birds.

Good for you on the retreive and maybe the Toller will get the idea or at least want to borrow the "Punt" to get to the bird.
