Snipe hunting in a cornfield CF ???? :) Where's the "Morrison Pond" Duck opener pic!

We managed a few mallards and bagged the one goose that came our way. Pretty quiet out our way for the most part..........

Haha I was surpised we took a bit over half drakes. Ugly drakes that is, I know of one flock of specks but they're further up valley. Lessers just starting to push in today, seen good numbers duck hunting this morning. There always is a few specks to tag along. Time will tell.

did ya yoodle the white front right in?

Specks were going by when I spotted them! Gave a cople of yodels, they banked to the right swung out away over the field,
yodeled again and they pitched in with yellow legs hanging!!!!----SWEET.-----Cheers---Field Marshal.

Was up on the mountain, Yesterday evening. 5pm to dark. Someone was shooting lots it wouldn't stop. Must of been on the reserve. They were hunting on the north side of the slough. Nice haul you got there crazy.

Nice first spec sucess best eating IMO. They cut the corn field right across from our silage field  watched the "pay to shoot" boys have a hay day. Hitting a pea field tomorrow so maybe.

Good to see we all had a good time out there.
The Morrison pond pic, didn't seem like opening day without it! Did you have to bring the chair back into the kitchen for the snipe lunch??? :-D

This A5 is a beauty. It's a '74 magnum with a 32" full choke barrel I bought from the estate of a member at my gun club and I also bought a '62 magnum with 32" barrel and briley thinwall chokes installed with the rounded grip stock from the estate. I used the '62's barrel on the '74 opening day.
The '74 was new unfired, but it has a crack around the wrist of the stock, I'll be putting my Browning synthetic stock set on it soon.
I haven't decided how I'm going to configure the gun for hunting but I'm selling my old '68 magnum with 28" opened up barrel without furniture or adding a ramline stock set to it.
Didn't head out for ducks today, went fishing for coho up the river.

What Tony, no love for the bootlips? Nothing gets a free pass opening morning. But I do think that Adam and topwater shot them.

I thought those were just two little hen mallards that somebody stepped on their bills? Damnnnnnn got me some hollywood ducks hahaha

Hey if the snipe didnt get a free pass, a shoveler should learn if he's gonna swing wide around the set, he better swing widerrrr then that!
