hunting with a bow

i got a bow a while ago and i want to start using it, what poundage should it be at fir deer, its a little over 50 pounds

that should be fine. IIRC anything over 40 is legal.
you need to be able to pull it comfortably. Ive killed deer and mines 60 lbs

got a doe draw so i thought that id be a good first animal to get with it,thanks

50 pounds is lots. i have killed a couple deer with a 50 pound youth bow. even one at 40 yards and the broadhead went right through.
