6-01 Bull

[finetuned]

After hunting hard for three days we ended up getting lucky with this guy. I had an LEH for 6-01 and could not believe how many hunters were up where we wanted to hunt when we arrived. There were camps set up everywhere so we decided to move somewhere else. I didn't have as much info on the new area but after two days of scouting which showed very little activity we came up with a plan for day three and went to bed. We woke up Monday morning to a major wind storm and almost stayed in camp but decided instead to scout out some more spots for when the weather lifted. We took the truck instead of the bike and headed out. We only got three km from camp when we spotted a cow and decided to see if she had a bull with her. We pulled over and did a couple of quick calls and out popped this guy. The picture is of my son who just turned 16 and he was really exited to get this guy.

Congratulations on getting your bullmoose. I'm not sure, but is it possible that I met you one day early into your hunt? I met a nice fella in a pick-up truck with his son and they had a quad in the back. Were you out there with your travel trailer which you dropped off about 20k back? I was on a quad when looking for a way into a particular lake which I found. I then stated that we were going to move camp out in that area, you were thinking about moving your trailer out that way too but you felt there were too many hunters in the area!
