I have a friend in Surrey that needs some help with problem waterfowl that are damaging his crops. There will be times when I am there without him, and I have been told that getting a permission letter is a good idea. Is there anything required to be in the letter? Does anyone have a sample letter they could post (with names deleted obviously) for a farm in Surrey?

Thanks.

Never seen one. I would guess something like:
I, (full name) as legal owner of the property located at (address), hereby give permission to (your name) to hunt afore mentioned property during the 2012/2013 season.

Name, signature, date, contact info

I think that should suffice. But like I said, I've never seen one and I'm not a lawyer.

That's all you need to trap private property, plus your licence of coarse. I can't see why it would be any different for hunting.
