Kootenay Lake

Boy and ladies, im heading too Kootenay Lake for Thanksgiving weekend, want to try my hand at catching a Gerrard Trout. Anyone have a favorite piece of the lake they prefer and a lodge or a good camping spot nearby, please let me know.

Its kind of a last minute thing.

There was a derby in Kaslo when we were there last nov, heard of some good fish

Mirror lake has a good campground and the fishing is good along the east shore of KL directly across from the campground. Other good spots are Kaslo, Coffee Creek, and Queens Bay. I prefer the middle of the lake. Be prepared for big waves...this lake can really blow up fast. Pm me if you want more info...
