.....getting any wolves?

Poked a hole in one 2 mornings ago with the 6.5x55. Hit pretty hard but even my dogs couldn't find it. Maybe they didn't want to.....

Haven't seen one for a while, but will be out with some mooose hunters this week so I hope that changes. I hit one hard a couple years ago with a 300 mag and never recovered it. They can take a long time to die if not hit just right.
A friend of mine did the same with his 300 mag, the rancher down river killed it 2 weeks later looking really sick and a hole straight though above the lungs.
