Found this while hunting up near Idabel lake ,McCullach lake snowmobile trail not far from the snowmobile cabin. your guess is good as mine as what happened! Got checked by the co and we told him about it.

I seen lots of does in Clinton like That during doe season. Talked to a CO, Asked if he wanted to go down and see them. He said no. I'am sorry I wasted his time.

Can't see much with the little pictures.

The big bucks I've found poached have the head cut off.
The poached moose/elk I've found were missing the rear quaters or gone completely.

Possibly a mortally gun shot deer that was never recovered? Doesn't look too suspicious to me.

Could be a hunter wounded deer that got away.....or it could be a wolf of cougar kill.

Any noticable bullet damage? A cat would leave visible damage around the neck area but wolves would probably chew up the other end.

My guess is hit by vehicle and expired where you found him. I've seen coyote start eating from the a-hole first.

i would guess hit my car, i dont think it was poached,, all thought i was up in elk heart on saturday sept. 29th and found this guy that had been poached only thing took was all 4 quarters,, :( made me sick to see that some people can get away with it and not care about anything,,
