well finally got my first bear!!

went out with a buddy on tuesaday the 25 had been out all day and didnt see anything a couple doe's thats about it.then we went down a logging road and we came around a corner a there was huge bear sitting on a hill so i jumped out of the truck and the bear slowly walked back into the bush so me and my hunting partner went after it so finally caught up to it and got a shot at it and missed my first time at a big game animal and i missed!so the bear was gone and i was pissed so we hiked back to the truck and it was about 4 oclock said i said lets go home as i was not in the best mood so we started on our way home and about 20 minutes later we round a corner and shit a bear it looks up at us and keeps eating i jump out my buddy passes me a gun i load it and boom hit he starts running really crooked and bitting behind his leg and then down he goes about 7 feet from where i shot him it was a double lung and heart shot the heart looked like ground hamburger when we got the bear opened up later found out my buddy had passed me his gun and not mine and because of the miss we took my gun to the range to check out why i missed and sure enough it was about 1 1/2 foot out damn it must have got bumped somehow but all in all a good day a bear and some meat in the freezer i am more pumped then ever for any buck season think its gonna be a good year :)
