Coyote Hunting in Region 3

Any tips for locations and bring in coyotes..?? was trying a cotton tail distress call up along the longlake road area in kamloops not very succesfull.

Try pennask area lots yotes come for distress call
walk away from truck bed down wait 5 minutes then call
stay absolutely camo no skin

Region 3 is HUGE! Guys, you have to narrow down your questions!
If you're talking the Loops, go for a drive, find a ranch, and knock on doors. Easy peasy, lemon squeezie.

If there ain't any Yotes around where you are, nothing will bring 'em in.


Some guys ride around with a loud siren, blasting on it here and there to locate them.

Long Lake gets hit hard for yotes and there isnt many rabbits there either. Spot and stalk in that area. Finding a ranch is the best way for calling. Hiking with a small dog has done it for people. I have heard reports of yotes coming in close to people looking to get the dog. Tie fluffy to a tree, hide downwind a bit and its yelping may bring in some action. Shoot straight if you like your dog. Name it "bait". I am not kidding either.
