First LEH Moose draw

My son and I picked up our very first Moose draw in BC in 7-11, it was our # 2 choice, being new to PG not familar with this area I have gone down for a couple of scounting trips not a lot of sign but I think the moose were still in the bush as it was hot when I was down there,, anyway any tips will be helpfull, thanks

Take note of the ATV restrictions in 7-11.
Congrats on the draw. I too am new to PG and got a draw this year. A good friend help me put one on the ground a week ago.

During one of your scout trips, try to find good areas within 1 or 2km of a convergence of two creeks or rivers.
Google maps can help with this.
Next day get in well before first light and hope for a bang flop. (it gets dark quick and gets light quick).
Once it warms up they'll bed down and that'll be it.

I sacked a bull moose this morning down there!

Was a good morning to be out, saw a few bulls and several deer!

Go now if you can. Get out before calf season. The moose are moving, just go for a drive
