Pretty dull due to the weather. Only seen 2 small mule bucks while hunting. Going back up to reg 8 tomorrow to try for a 4 pointer... Hopefully it cools down but the forecast isn't looking that way

Yep the weather is a killer for sure!! I find most deer on north facing slopes at this time of the year, good luck.

I've seen 5 or 6, 2-point bucks (2 or 3 fairly decent ones) 8 or 9 spikes and a bunch of does..... I have been out a fair bit tho and it has been pretty slow.

Pretty slow start likely due unseasonably warm/dry conditions. Camped out for three days and only saw a few cow moose, couple bears and some muleys and whitetails so far.

Went out on the season opener. I Crawled out of my tent in the morning feeling a little sick. Dragged my ass over a small mountain side for most of the morning and saw a little less than nothing... I was running a fever by the afternoon so I drove home early and by night I couldn't get warm no matter what I did. So I am glad I was in my own bed rather than still in my tent. Not a stellar opener. I am waiting for the snow to fly before I give it a serious go.

Seen a few bucks on private land argh. Had an awesome last weekend with my nephew grouse hunting. We managed 8 for the weekend. His first hunt so it was extra special.

Almost no sense hunting deer with the temperature being what it is. Having a great time waterfowling. Last hour of the day on a cut oat field has been great.

It's been pretty brutal for me considering the time and effort I have put forth so far this season.
Two weeks up north hunting sheep and instead we came back with a 6 yr old billie that my partner shot.
Spent two weeks hunting moose in Wonowon, Tumbler, and Quesnel (Nazko).
Still have an empty freezer.
It's all good though. Learned a lot and had good times with great people.
Guess it'll be deer burger/pepperoni again this winter! :)

almost too good. got a mulie with my bow sept 1st, a moose with the rifle sept 2nd, and an elk sept 20th. My freezers are full to the brim now, hard to justify going out anymore lol. lots of buddies still need meat so i'll tag along here and there. I somehow got horseshoes this season, as most of my buddies are off to a slow start.

Got back on Friday from mgt 5-2 by Macintosh Lake. Spend 8 days up there and came home with 12 ruffed grouse that we shot within a two day period....and not one sight of any sort of mulie bucks. I've seen alot of does..no yearlings or any youngin's that looked like they were born this year. I"m so totally disappointed. My husband, the girls and I were up early hours in the morning hunting into well in the evening. NEVER SAW ONE BUCK!!! I think the area has been finely combed through with many hunters over the past few years..... I could be wrong....but that's my 2 cents.

Cow elk harvested. Called in a bull moose to within 20 meters (!) too but he wasn't legal. What a rush though!

Been having a great season. Went back to Region 8 for the elk opener. Had a great time with my crew. Been having a great game of cat and mouse with a big bull for 5 days in a row now out here in the West Koots. The bulls are calling like crazy here even with the amount of pressure. Hunting partners have passed on a few 4pt mulies. No point shooting them when the elk are hot. Lots of time to put a big muley away.

Waiting for it to cool off before I even think about going out. Has been pushing 30C almost every day in Kelowna. Our moose trip up to Region 6 is off, so hopefully things will cool off and the deer hunting will get hot.

Dropped a 80lb compressor on my foot.
Typing this as I sit in the X-ray clinic.
My bones are flexy so I'm hoping for the best.

My season has been going well. I spent a week with my father-in-law looking for early moose. On day 7 he took a nice five point just a month before his 71 birthday. I was really excited for him. I myself just returned from a solo mountain trip where I was able to get a caribou. I also after moose hunting for 25 years took my first book moose. It was a lot of work to get this one out, but well worth it. I still have elk and deer trips planned as well.
