I need a little help guys. I'm going to order an eberlestock x2 in the near future and i'm unsure what pattern i should get. The offerings i'm considering are "hide open western slope", "hide open rock veil", and "dry earth" which is a solid light brown colour. I live and hunt mainly in region 3 where it is typically very dry. What do you guys use?

Just got the Dragonfly pack in the mail. Got it in Western Slopes. Its a nice pattern perfect for moose, elk, deer terrain including forested and open grassy areas. Best way to describe it is equal amounts of light to mid green, cream, grey, black. Overall silhouette is mid to somewhat light rather than dark as viewed from a distance so it won't show up as a dark blob. Very happy with it. You may want to check their website and also take a look at mossy oak brush. Eberlestock talks about how popular this pattern is in Finland for moose hunters. Also, I thought the Rocky Slopes had too much blue in it so from a distance, it would stand out as a dark silhouette.

Use my pack all year so went with the army green. Seems to be little more accepted when wearing and is not hunting season.

Well turns out I can't get hide open western slope before I leave for chetwin. It's either rock veil which has some black and grey accents, or dry earth. I'm leaning toward dry earth. Going with the x2 with a rifle scabbard

Get the rock veil. Its not like the pattern will make or break whether an animal sees you or not. I run the X2 with the scabbord. Mine is sort of a bright green camo pattern. Great little pack.
