Well, next Wednesday can't come soon enough. I'm heading to 7-33 for my first elk and moose hunt. The best part is: I'm hunting with my best friend.
We managed to luck out on the whole access to lands thing, as a co-worker and her family have some lands in the 7-20A area that we can hunt. Who knew that joining a company last November with an office in FSJ would open up such a great opportunity. To date I've only been waterfowling, and on a couple unsuccessful deer hunts last fall, so needless to say I'm pretty stoked and looking forward to harvesting my first big game animal. Looks like the weather is gonna cool down a bit, which is great, and we've received some scouting reports of moose and elk in the area.
