Quick question, found a really fresh rub and a good smelly wallow this morning. Would this be a good sign that the bulls are into rut and would be receptive to calls?

Rut will be on now and sounds like you found some evidence that confirms that. Called many bulls well before this time of year.

If you found a rub and a wallow and you have a tag I would just stick it out in that are, he will be back.

Called one in this morning to 25 feet and boy howdy did he smell, came in talking the whole way, even after I stood up he barked at me a couple more times before slowly walking away.

How rude! You know I shower on the 15th of every month. Hardly stinky yet. I am only a week old!

Because the bull moose are coming in to the elk cow calls??!!! More than the bull elk too! Stupid point restrictions, could have filled the freezer with a moose, but not enough points! Moosin

well everyone was right, went back in this morning and decided I would try some calls. I was preety sure I have the worst moose call in the world but got an answer right away. Was the coolest thing ever as I called for over a hour with a bull that wouldn't come out of the trees but kept on calling. I finally enticed him out and he was a really nice, small palm bull.

OF COURSE I HAVE NO BIG BULL DRAW SO NOW IT IS OFFICIAL I HATE LEH.

SUCKED TO HAVE THAT EXPERIANCE AND NOT BE ABLE TO FINISH. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EXCELLENT STORY.

Think I might go back tomorrow just to practise my calling.
