region 2 elk

Does this stem right to anyone? Today i saw a fairly large bull elk in region 2. Is there even a season for These? I am guessing not since the regs say nothing.

The elk have been re-introduced into the Pitt, Squamish, Mamquam and other river valleys in recent years. It's part of a government program to re-establish the animal's natural range.

Well that all was a huge surprise to me since i have never seen one or even sign of one in the area. Btw i was no where near the squamish area. Pretty much made my hunting season and its only three days in and i haven't bagged a single thing yet.

LEH only , seen plenty of elk around. Seen a massive bull 3 yrs ago. Plenty of trail cam pics
