My Sturgeon with Dad

Went out on the river yesterday with my old man. We had an awesome morning. We had four fish on and landed all of them. The weather was perfect and the fish got bigger each time. Started with about a 5 footer, then a 5'6 , then a 5'11, then the biggest at the end which was a 6'5. I consider myself very blessed that I get to fish and hunt with my Dad. Great memories everytime. Enjoy the pics.

ok its killing me.... i cannot get a sturgeon myself. i have been out multiple times this summer... and get gentle nibbles, but no takes.... i am patient, and not setting the hook early (at least i believe so) ... but the takes never go beyond the bumping to the "steady pull" that vic carrao recommends waiting for on his website.

any tips would be greatly appreciated!!! i really would like to experience some success with my son. please help.

Champs, when the tip drops, wind FAST until its solid. Try this a couple times and see what happens. Remember, wait until the tip drops, even if it is down an inch or two, then wind.
