Hello Everyone,

First post so Hi to all. Was out with my son this morning looking for his first buck up in 8-11. Driving up to our spot in the morning we came across a very frantic dog being chased by Coyotes. Needless to say we pulled over and she came running right up to the truck. We couldn't find anyone around and she was 30Kms from anywhere so we picked her up. Needless to say she was happy to hop in the back seat! Long story short just wanted to throw this on here so if anyone has lost their dog or knows someone who has; looks like a shepard cross, she has been found. We took her down to the Kelowna SPCA and she is in good shape. She was found a KM 38 of Espron Main.

Wow, that is some SERIOUSLY good karma coming your way. If I ever lost my dog in the bush I'd be heart broken.. hopefully she's chipped and you can find the owner in short order.

Fire didn't start until 3:00pm that day - this guy said he found the dog in the morning.

Really hope that the owner is found and its a happy re-union...kudos to you for rescuing it.
Unfortunately, there sometimes are other sad situations....my son and I found a Chesapeake cowering in some bush high above Tunkwa Lake
many years ago. It took awhile to coach him out, but once in our vehicle it calmed down and seemed to be a nice dog. Knowing the area intimately, I
knew the only chance of connecting with his owner would be at either Tunkwa or Leighton Lake camps so that's where we headed. Sure enough, after asking around, we located the owner. The owner was verbally abusive to it immediately, and the dog didn't want to go with him. I got the distinct feeling that if there weren't so many witnesses, he would have beat the dog. The story was that the dog hadn't ever gone bird hunting before, and ran away with fright when shotguns began firing. The owner was furious, screaming obscenities and threats at it, and then left him out there. To this day, I wish I hadn't handed the dog over to him and had my young son not been there, I wouldn't have.
