So I know everyone is gonna wanna hear the stories behind everything so here it is. On arriving to camp and the 14 hour drive straight through the night we noticed that one of the 4 hubs on the trailer went so we wasted the first day fixing that running back to chetwynd for parts. On the second day my brother hit a deactivation and flipped the quad on top of him self and put the gun rack right into his eye so off to Dawson creek to the emergency to see if he was all right and luckily just a very bad black eye and swollen cheek. Once all the bad luck had ended we started the good we were seeing big mule deer moose elk and bears ever day.

So on sept 4th I set out at first light to a spot where I thought the elk were And stared calling and sure enough with in 2 bugles I had a huge bull bellow me in the basin just screaming at we. My heart was going and hands were shackey but the bull wouldn't come up the hill so I started to move down when all of a sudden another bull barked at me twice only 100yrdsaway so I moved back up the hill and sat waiting as I could here him walking through the brush. A few more calls and he appeared a legal 4x4 bull elk at 50 yards so I dumped him in his tracks and sat down in excitement as I had just killed my first elk. After we were down all the work and were sitting around the fire we decided if it came down to it we would take a female deer in the last couple days if we only had the 1 animal in camp.

So on sept 6th we set out for our evening hunt. As my girlfriend and I were putting around we decided to stop and see if we could locate some elk for my brother and sure enough after a few calls I had a second bull all fired up and not to far from where I had got my bull the other day. As we were calling we heard three gun shots close by and then no more bugles... Darn or so we thought. When we got back to camp that night I asked my brother how his night went and he informed me he had just shot his first bull elk aswell and it was a nice 6x6 and once again the work was far from over for the night. We saw lots of animals and had a lot of fun I'll post the pics as soon as I can get them loaded

Here is my bull

Oh and i forgot to mention in my story durring the day we saw a bunch of nice fish jumping but had no rod so we Mcgivered a rod out of a whippy tree some pieces of straw and duct tape for eyes and a pen and spool of line as a reel we caught over 30 fish between us all around the 3lbs mark and 2 just over 5 lbs heres a pic of the first one we caught.
