Heading to 7-38 in a couple weeks . Going to go for the east side of the M.U. . We have Grizzly draws and goat and moose tags . Priority is on bears and goats , not holding my breath for immature bull moose .

Has anyone been up that road recently? . What is it's condition ? Not sure where we will make camp as we have not spent much time in the area so if anyone can shed some light on this that would be great .

Thanks all . Geo

We went in from Windy Point (near Mackenzie) in mid Sept. The road was very good. Good luck to you.

I was working up in 7-38 for the last two weeks of September. Managed to take a day off and drove up the road 100km. Saw a goat on top of a mountain w my recently purchased spotting scope. The 4 of us literally ran up the side of the mountain (500m vertical) in 45 minutes. Made it right where we wanted to be, looked over the edge, and there it was. 20 min later we were skinning it out and back down to the truck within 3 hours total. Pretty good for road hunting!
