Unreal. Those rams are deserving of a story. Was this a horseback, hike in, jet or fly in hunt?
Congrats on some hammer rams.

here is a quick story for the first 4 days all we seen was lil rams 3/4being the biggest then on day 5 we looked into this valley and there was a lonely ram I had the spotter on him but could not make him legal so I told my buddy to sneak another 10 ft past me and look to my left as I could not see around the corner and his eyes lit up as he seen the 38 1/2 ram all he was saying that he was legal and that he wanted to shoot him I told him that only his brother or me could go for him as he was looking straight at us and they would be gone in a flash I new that if he went with his brother that he would be shooting the ram and not letting the young guy get a chance lol so this worked out nice As we were stalking up on the rams I explained that I will try and get him close to the rams and if there is no possibility for him to get the ram that I was not going to let it go we got with in 20 yard and told him to go another 5 and shoot the ram as he took the 3rd step a few rocks got knocked around and we were busted I had the ram in my sight and gave him the hand signal that on 3 to stand up and shoot, on 2 I stepped out to the side and the lead ram stood up as the rest bunched around him no shoot available it was a stearing mach then they ran to the right as I took a 90deg turn the rams changed there direction and ran right across to buddy and that was it ram down for the next 2 day we were stuck in the tent as the weather was bad on the 8day we got out into the fog and were glassing as I turned and seen a big grizz sitting on the gut pile behind us 100yrds not my fav moment as we had no clue that the bear was there in the fog just behind us the hole time. we hunted another 3 days and seen 2 rams but no legal ones it was getting depressing as our hopes were down and we were planning a second sheep trip when we got home lol we said that we would give it one more day and head out the next day there was no real story we got lucky and ran into a few rams in the bush our plan worked out and we got a double header I new that we had two nice rams down my buddy said that we had two ok rams I explained to him that its deceiving and that the rams are way bigger then he thinks i put the tape on him and my buddies face lit up he did not believe that measurements lol we def got lucky but I think karma had a lot to do with this We had some obstacles and it wasn't looking good and then in a flash it all worked out, what a hunt it will be hard to top this trip but we have a plan

yugo111

we went in with 55lbs each plus our guns and lost 14lbs off food coming out plus 3lbs of salt my pack was 115lbs last year and this time it was more heavy Im guessing about 125 coming out, this was a fly in trip
