Where's all the Horns?

Hadda run to town from work today and on the return trip, decided to travel up the Alaska Highway instead of the back roads. I encountered hunting outfit after hunting outfit coming back from opening week. I usually see lots & lots of fuzzy moose racks tied to the various quads, SxS's, boats and Argo's, but today I saw only one teeny little set of antlers on a quad rack. So where's all the horns (ya I know...antlers) this year? Ya'll hiding them?

weather was hot hot hot. Wasn't the best moose hunting, good camping weather though! Still had fun.

My neighbour buggered off the year before last smack in the middle of our haying to chase curly horns in Tatshenshini. Saw a couple rams that were too small and logged a LOT of miles on the horses.

have seen several coming down the highway, but as KB90 said weather has been extremely hot. my neighbours just came back from the annual fly in trip where they traditionally get two or three elk and a moose or two. only one elk this year due to the extremely hot weather.

theres 2 out of the 5 from our opening 3 days, was an awsome year for moose up here, first 1 hit the ground 520 opening morning. still seeing quite afew, I am trying to save my tag for a late season bull....trying too!
