I bought two moultrie M80's this year. Excellent battery life, have had the same batteries in both since 20 Feb and they have speant every night in the bush since then. You can get them for about $130. Very compact, decent picture quality.
One note, there is a software upgrade for these cameras on the Moultrie website. Takes about 3 minutes to do.

I've had good experiance with bushnell trophy cams.
But I've heard of guys having trouble with them when they get damp inside. (westcoast condensation)

I've had good luck with Primos and Moultrie..purchased another primos and a bushnell on ebay...saved myself $200 if I were to buy it here.

Try bushnell trophy cams or moultries. If your gonna spend over $250 I advise looking at custom made cams

I like the moultrie M50, Color photos at night, 5MP pictures, they plug into a 12V Lawnmower battery so you can leave them in the bush for a year or two and you can get 4 cameras for $200 on Ebay. At $50 a camera it stings much less when they get stolen

Depends on what's hanging in the tree when I spot it. I've have all kinds of makes and models. Cheaper that way.

Ok Ourea, Have you used the Uway VH200B, any opinions on it? I like the fact that it has a viewer on it and that it is Canadian if there are any warranty issues.

We have a sponsor of this website UWAY www.uwaycanada.ca (http://www.uwaycanada.ca/) . I purchased one, an NX80 prior to knowing this, but on recommendation of a friend. I am impressed with the quality of pictures, and it operates on either 4 or 8 AA batteries. I got well over 2000 pics on the first 4 batteries. Easy to operate as well, which is high priority for me being old and all :)

battery efficiency, trigger speed, dead quiet and under $100 for IR cam would be my priorities. Number of megapixels, and all the other bells and whistles are secondary and usually mean a lot more $ for something I would be worried about being stolen if not in a real remote location. I can see where the viewer could be handy for a quick spot check or where you can't otherwise download the SD card. I like the bushnell trophy but only on firesale price usually after season from crappy tire.

VH200b....no.
As said before,we operate over a dozen cams. Some brands have been better than others. Proof is in the pudding when you have a problem with one. Uway has been extremely supportive when we had a couple minor issues....other brands ....not so much.
The last batch of Uways we purchased have been exceptional.
We set up various cams facing each other in the field. ...review the images captured. You would be surprised how many triggers are missed by one cam over the other.....we do a lot of due dilligence prior to ignorantly taking a cam out of the box and strapping it to a tree claiming its a great cam with no quantified testing.
Granted, we are all about the video with sound features vs simple still pics.

Consistant performance, unprecedented after sales support, features vs price.......Uway has been a winner.
My experience thus far.

Bushnell's little pricey but great cams. Make sure whatever you get has a quick trigger speed though!!

And I wish to add that my cell cam is goin off like a popcorn maker lately..my Uway cell cam.
Receiving pics on my phone as we speak from 200 miles away.
What a world we live in now a days.
