Seen a few sights in my stumblings around but I have never seen this before.

Seems to have been a small rodent of some sort (not sure which) who has been using this river scoured rock as his personal outhouse all summer.
Looks like he got caught short one day and didn't quite make it but other than that gets points for accuracy.

Just struck me as kinda weird but interesting.

That is in fact a Indian artifact still in use and those are the remnant turds from offerings to the Great Eagle Claw Spirit. Set a trail cam nearby and you should get some interesting shots.

You're right on the money Jagermeister, good one. Great humour. Clint, don't dare disturb or give away the great sacred Eagle claw spirit location as the area might be shut down to hunting. We'll be awaiting your trailcam pics..... :)

I had mortar and pestle set passed on to me by my Grandfather, the mortar being quite similar to yours. It was from the Whonnock area between Ruskin and Albion. (donated to the Archives)

Doesn't look like any grouse s--- that I have ever seen. I am thinking rodent, as it looks like something you would find around rats.
