Well headed up the dease highway with my father for my first goat hunt and it was a success. Shot my first goat!

That jetboil stove rocks. This was my first trip with it. Those eberlestock packs work great for this type of hunt. If I were in better shape we could have each fit a goat in our packs with ease. We took 4 days worth of food and spent 3 nights on the mountain. With my worn out knees, I couldnt do a trip like that without walking poles. My arms are sore from all the weight I put on them rather than my knees. Its great to see my son becoming such a fine outdoorsman. At 16 years of age he will have many great mountain hunting adventures in the future. I was in my late 30s before I was exposed to backpack hunting. As we drove home from this hunt, I looked over at my son and smiled. He turned out exactly as I hoped he would. I had no idea he took all that footage with his little nikon camera.

I just put together an Eberlestock X3 Lowdrag tactical daypack for day hikes/hunts I'm totally impressed with the pack but I am now thinking I need to get one for overnight hunts.

we seen 1 quarter curl ram thats it teh helicoper was dropping ppl off every where the set a big camp on the mnt that we were hunting it sucked every mnt we hiked to the helicopter would show up with more ppl drilling holes the sheep here spooked like crazy
