It may be short notice but Smithers Archery club is having a 3D shoot this weekend (August 11-12, 2012). It is based on hunting and will only have hunting animals, no frogs, no rock rascals, not even any turkeys or coyotes. All big game animals that we drool over all year. All the new rhinehart targets are out and the shoot consists mostly of elk, deer, sheep, goats, moose, caribou and a couple bears. Rangefinders are allowed and if you score a 5 its minus points. The shoot will be at the Smithers Cross country ski hill which is up the mountain on the way to Hudson Bay mountain ski hill (down hill ski hill). There is lots of room for free camping. It will not be an easy shoot and there will be lots of long shots and lots of uphill and down hill shots. If you wanna get ready for the season please come, its going to be awesome!
