Elk hunt in September 7b Peace

Just looking for a little bit of info on elk, and the elk rut. i will be headed to region 7b Peace. when would be the best time to leave to hit the rut, last year we were up there the last 2 weeks of september and no bugling was going on. sooo, would the begining of sept, or middle be best? any info, any help, even if someone points me in the right direction to help make my moose hunt successful would be oh so greatly appriciated.

first half of sept you usually cant go wrong, then late sept/early oct unbred cows go back into estrus and calling works again,

I hunt the 2nd and 3rd weeks of sept for rut , but I did call one in nov 12 last yr I think he was confused

Last 2 weeks in September always worked for me. Got them even earlier as well. Try again.
