Weren't you asking about needing your CORE? You'll need it to hunt rabbits - unless you're planning on running into a bunch of Eastern Cottontail or European rabbits. If you've got your license - the population of snowshoe hares is pretty healthy in many local areas.

...or are you talking about 'inner city' rabbits?? No firearms discharge in city limits!! I think it's depending on fps, don't quote me, but a pellet gun is not always considered a 'firearm', but I'm pretty sure in the city it sure is...Have been wondering how the local farmers get kids to shoot their marmots, myself...

I do not know about Kelowna, But when I used to hunt them around Clinton. I would hunt them in oct and nov when they were in their white phase. I would snare them or use the 22 or 20 gauge. Look for thick bushy areas higher up the mountain. I have also gotten them in the Rock Creek area high up in the hills. When you are looking for them, look for their runs or the little trails they make. You should also see their golden colore poo. Which is small. They are a lot of fun hunting in the snow. Just follow their tracks and look for their black eye. Hope you are going with your dad. Have fun.
