i was wondering what is the best time to see goats low on the mountian i am hunting north of lilooett the date for my draw is between sept-end of oct just trying to plan a good time to atleast see some goats.

Start looking now, look for loners in the ugliest part of the mountains, they are more apt to be a Billy, try to only harvest a Billy if you can. Remember the later you go in most areas the more dangerous likely from snow and frost. Do an early pre season scout, and hike. They are the coolest and toughest most rewarding critter BC has to offer !! Early season heat Early Sept. mostly North slopes, as the weather gets cooler they will move more.

I've seen most of the billies laying down on small out croppings/rock nobs surounded by bush lower down , the montain from nannies/kids. They will also hang around small slides with low bush along the sides and normally by themselves. This is early to mid Sept.
