Many of whitetail, mules and even a few moose have fallen by our hunting parties up in Myra. No big mules but a few respectable whitetails. Don't live in the area anymore but I hope this helps

When I lived at Paul Lake in Kamloops some of the best hunting was right under peoples noses. Biggest deer I ever shot was up past the Dump just before you get to Paul lake. Ohhh and Mount Harper, right there and no one would hunt it.

There are cougars everywhere with sun damaged skin but the high tech yoga pants hold the stretch marks in check and a little cottage cheeze surgery hides the rest. K town, down town late at night in the summer. No tagz required and easy on gas, its a gimme. ..

That is truly one of the funniest things I have read on here. LOL. IF you've had a few repeat visits to Kelownawood, you'll understand the sarcasm here. ROTFL.

One of the only occurance on game where you don't want to hunt downwind, and the best optics to use would be the Molson Beergoggles 5%X12 power.

We used to park at the Trapping Creek demonstration site (on Hwy 33, North of Beaverdell, South of Big White) and then hunt China Ridge from Big White and out to the Christian Valley. It was all actively logged so there were lots of small clearcuts. Somebody showed us a secret road on the ridge that connected this road network with the neighbouring one. It made for a very large area to wander around. Lots of Mullies, White Tails and even some moose (GOS spike-fork). It's all overgrown now with millions of little trees.

Lots of Elk above Penticton, herd of 1,000 or so. Tracks all over the place. Mostly Bull.

Sounds like a lot of bull to me! Watch out for the Cougars , although they're mostly after young bucks.

Oh saw yous is one of the most succesfull first nations in the country. K, little play on words there its Osoyoos, izat it dunno my spelling sucks but that is the only official desert in the country, rattlers and all. And deer in the hills big time as I was told by local band members . I like those folks. And they make good wine. No cougars there that I saw but what happens on the lake stays on the lake tee shirts are for real cheap down town at the Fields store. And like hwy 3 leads in it leads out so next cougar spot is in Nelson. sorry off topic a bit. ..

Tons of deer on top of Summerland Garnet Valley road, past the shooting range. Road very rough. Locals hunt there.

Faulders, Dark Lake have lots of dirt bikes and four trax. Get out and walk, climb and you might see deer.

On top of Penticton is very rough, lots of dead falls and rocks, and the only black tail mulies I have have seen there were close to the hobby farms and Lost Moose Lodge restaurant. You can rent cabins from Lost Moose, and food is great, and their burgers are legendary and the view over the Okanagan is breath taking.

From south end of Vaseux Lake, has anyone ever tried to canoe across to the west side of the lake for a hunt ? One can also bicycle access that former KVR rail road from the Green Lake Road, south of OK Falls bridge. Also on that road from OK falls bridge, Green Lake Road, going towards Oliver, lots of interesting hills along the road, on top of the farm and ranches, please check out for private property and ask for permission before hunting.

I am just "scratching" the hunting in the Okanagan, which are very good from Oliver to Vernon.

There are some productive areas up off the Chase/Falkland road as well as good fishing........so many places so little time!

For sure, there is not enough time in a life to explore BC. I am just relieved my odo is in miles so i won't have to do much math when i try to follow jelvis around.

I just find a deer crossing sign and park by it. Its a sure thing. Why spend the gas driving around when the government is giving out that sort of intel....

Jackpine has good size trout and they bite according to published schedule. Paynter is anyone's guess, but i'm aiming to find out if there's fish in it...

My husband says that a hunter never tells his sweet spots. Around this time of year, there are lots of discussions of the place to go. I like the areas along the back road between Naramata and Oliver.

on page 2 i saw some talk about green lake in 70 mile! i was just up there at my friends cabin a week ago and have always been interested in hunting that country.. problem is i only saw one mulie doe :( .. perhaps it was just the hot weather keeping the deer in the thicker bush.

go up tulameen at the end of archery season in december, quad up into the highest stuff you can, then go for a walk through the timber, they're in there, usually see a few mulie bucks a day and a ton of does when i use that tatic...
