x2....BT youngsters have a lot of white on their back ends like that.

There is a lot of white but the tail looks to narrow for a WT Big Lew nailed it IMO

Those are blacktails. I hunt above Deroche and see them flagging their tails sometimes. There are pictures of blacktails that I have shot in Hatzic Prarrie and Deroche. And a picture of a Bull elk just west of Mission. In my photo gallery.

Columbia Black-tails are "white" on the underside of their tail,,,,,,,,

Those are blacktails. I hunt above Deroche and see them flagging their tails sometimes. There are pictures of blacktails that I have shot in Hatzic Prarrie and Deroche. And a picture of a Bull elk just west of Mission. In my photo gallery.

I've also seen a very nice bull elk between mission and silverdale. But the trail cam pics are BT for sure I have them in my yard and if the dog gets a chance to chase them they flag all the time its kinda funny to see...lol the first time we saw them we thought the same thing untill we confirmed they were indeed BT.

well thanks guys. just never seen pics of their tail like that. all other pics are tails in down position

Only way to tell if it's really a WT is to shoot it.
