Friday my mom and i did the grind together and got into talking about her joining me on my weekend hikes i do..so Saturday we headed to Chilliwack for a hike

Love the Elk hike. Have you ever done the ridge? ie. Hiking from Elk to Cheam?

never, defiantly would like to do that hike....i heard the Cheam still has a fair amount of snow...?

Yeah elks awesome, just has a lot of traffic even during the week and I think I've only been there once when it's been clear. I packed a 60 lb pack up there last weekend trying to toughen up, it was quite the leg burner on that last steep section.
Hiking from elk to cheam sounds interesting, I'd guess that would be an overnighter or a super long day? People are already summiting Cheam, from the pics I saw only a bit of snow left.

have you done the Grouse Grind? that defiantly will kick your ass into shape.
Im always looking for adventure to stay in shape, if your interested in doing the grind or local hikes id be down

Elevation Gain: 853 metres (2,800 feet)
Base: 274 metres above sea level (900 feet)
Summit: 1,127 metres (3,700 feet)
Total Stairs: 2,830
Statistics: Annually, over 100,000 people hike the trail.
Average Time: On average it takes up to an hour and a half to complete the hike. For novice hikers, two hours is recommended.
