I will be taking a river boat down the Turnigan river in Sept any suggestions or drainages that would be worthwhile to check out for sheep or goats? planning on hiking back into a few drainages for a couple days any help would be much appreciated. Also have a Grizz tag for 7-51 which is the east side of the Kechika.

thanks

Very, very thick country. If you don't know where the horse trails are it is very hard trekking to get above tree line. Because of this all the residents pretty much hunt the same couple of valleys. Great place for a grizzly tag.

Yes but some of the load in August has shifted to Sept. 1-10 since it opened for elk along with the Kechika.

Look at one of the drainages toward Burnt Lake. 7-52 . We took a few out of there a few years back.
Good luck & have fun.
