Hey everyone,
I just got back from my trip last week and thought I should upload some pics and such.
The trip started on June 27th with my sister and I. We took off from YVA Vancouver Airport and 10 hours later we landed in Amsterdam :smile:. We Stayed in Amsterdam tell the 30th so we could get used to their 9 hour time difference, so that we would not be tired on the safari's. It was really cool experience though getting to see the red light district and such. Went to the Heineken Bowery did tours around the city and partied at night. We also went to the Anne frank house from WWII and thought that was very interesting because I learned about that in high school in SS. We had a blast there.
Then on the 30th My sisters fiance, Ben (they are getting married this FRI ) He flew into Amsterdam and we met him at the airport and we then took off to Kenya, Nairobi. Our Guide picked us up and drove us to the hotel for the night. The next morning the Safari began. He picked us up at the hotel and we started off to drive to our resort that was 6 hours away. We got to see much of the city and the people on the streets and their style of life. We stayed at 8 different resorts on our trip all were super nice. we stayed 2 nights at every resort and park and then and to do another 5 to 7 hour drive on a dirt road to get to the next resorts. When we were in Kenya we went to visit a tribe and see their life style and they showed us everything about their way of life. We also brought toys and books for the little kids to have. My fav resort in Kenya would be the Masai Mara Serengeti. There were alot of cats there. After 8 days in Kenya we crossed on over to Tanzania, our first day there we went and stayed on a pvt Island on Lake Victoria. Ben and I went fishing in the lake for Nile perch. (the lake is the 2nd biggest lake in the world and its the mouth of the Nile River.) after about 30mins of trolling and drinking I had one on. it was a 27pounder. I was happy and the people working there said that's nothing they get up to 300 pounds lol. We caught 4 fish and brought them back and the resort cooked them for dinner. after that we went back to the parks the next day and back into the Serengeti, where there were 100s of cats that we saw. HUNTING FIGHTING MATING we saw it all. We saw some cheetahs take down some gazelle, we kept getting bluff charged by an elephant that was kinda cool. We saw alot of lions matting, and the thing that was really cool was after each time they finished the lioness would go and start fighting the male and then the male would get pissed of and fight back. Sometimes the fight would just be a lil hissy fit and go on for 1 second and then sometimes the fight would go on for 30 seconds and the raaaaoooooorsss and such they made were intence. The coolest thing of all is when we saw a single lioness hunting a pack of zebras. It would be 5 feet away at some times as it stocked them and still would not attack and waited for the best time. Every time a zebra would look back and lioness would get down super low and just stay there and the lioness would not start creaping up on them until all the zebras were walking away looking in the opposite direction. was very cool how much consentration the lioness had and how it waited for the right timing. finally after about 50minutes and lioness takes off and all the zebras start to run in all dif directions. The lioness jumped up and grabbed onto the zebras ass and held on tight. It kept getting bounced around and finally fell up but it got up again and started running after a new group and was clawing at ones ass but was just ccms away from getting him but didnt. Was by far the best thing I saw there even though it was a fail still so cool to watch. I kinda wish that there were more cats in that hunt because they would have got it for sure. I also saw a pack of lions take down a warthog but that was quick and done with fast. Then on the 16th day we had a 8 hour drive to kilimanjaro and took a look at the mt for a bit and then went to the airport there. We then waited 6 hours for our plane. We had a 11 hour flight to amsterdam and then a 6 hour layover. and then from there we had a 10 hour flight back home. I was happy to be back home and the first thing I did was go to BURGER KING!!!!!!
Going on this trip has made me thankfull for all the things I have in life and makes you realize how lucky you are to be Canadian and to live in a BEAUTIFUL county like ours!

I have no clue what happened here your guess is just as good as myn, but I would say lions got him when he was little and his mom saved him or he was sleeping and lions got him him but failed on the kill. All I no is he is one lucky as guy

Wildebeest migration. Sometimes they have to cross at high water, and lose quite a few.
On the plus side, the Crocs and Vultures get fat as Lords.

Ya some of them died from crossing just tampled but also alot die from drinking to much and they explode inside....
but No I saw the Mirgration saw millions of them was insane!

our driver said if we were just there as white people without him we would be robbed or killed! But not much happened cause we were with him. there was some sketchy areas tho. We had to pay off the cops at one point when they had AK47s pointing at us........ Im going to get to that story later

And No I didnt do any Hunting / Killing. Went I said Hunting I saw cats HUNTING Other STUFF..... I have some awesome videos of it also and animals fighting eachother....
My camera has the vids on it and I can watch it on my camra but when I go to upload them onto the comp they will not come up so I gotta find out whats going on and sooner or later I will have vids up.
Sorry for getting back so later also I was up North in Hintin Alberta working at the Riggs.
When I drove through Jasper was very cool saw a black Wolf like 3 feet away from me just chilling and saw 4 grizz, goats sheep everything..... Im going to start bringing my camra everytime I go through Jasper to take some pics and throw them up on here.
Will tellt he police story in africa and stuff later
