hey guys i was going thru the regs today and i noticed it says bow only season is from sept1-sept9, my question is does this include crossbows as well? i read somewhere that crossbows can be used during all of regular season, did i read right?

You read it right and yes you can use a crossbow during bow season.

Compound and trad. bows can be used during regular firearm season too. Bowhunters have it good here in BC, they have the longest hunting season. :) Crossbows are regarded as archery tackle in BC, and quite rightly so.

Cause this is where the debate starts that crossbows are not "bows" or "archery tackle"
then its traditional bows vs compounds vs crossbows

and the after about 6 pages of bickering back and forth, the thread gets locked :)

Yes, you can use a X-Bow during archery season, as well as during rifle season, if you prefer, to answer your original question..

haha thanks for the answer, i dont care what people say about bows/crossbows as to what is real archery or not, i just care about what mr. co thinks because he is the one who will rip you a new a-hole if your not going by the regs

I love the fact that cross bows can be used in BC, it gives me hope I can get my Dad to come hunt elk with a bow he is 65 and i dought he would be able to use a compound
